Xin Zhong
About Xin Zhong
Xin is a plant systematics researcher currently working at Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai, China. He began his work in natural photography at university, and he has photographed a large number of plants and their habitats during his studies. While working and traveling in western China, North America, Africa, Madagascar and Southeast Asia, he try to learn and understand the relationship between life and the earth. In recent years he has increased his preference for photographing endangered species. He believes this is the way to save them, as Dr. Jane Goodall says, “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help shall all be saved.”
Collector and researcher of plant systematics, teaching a course on plant taxonomy and nature photography. Have received awards for IGPOTY and WPY.
