About

An Elizabethan masterpiece Welcome to Hardwick, whose stunning houses and beautiful landscape have been created by a cast of thousands. It was the formidable 'Bess of Hardwick' who first created Hardwick in the 1500s. In the centuries since then her descendants, farmers, gardeners, builders, decorators, embroiderers and craftsmen of all kinds have contributed and made Hardwick their creation. We’d like you to explore and enjoy Hardwick and in the process discover the lives, loves and adventures of the creators of Hardwick. This year (for the first time) IGPOTY is coming to Hardwick inside the hall with the very latest competition 12 winners displayed on our custom indoor structure. The exhibition takes place in the Great Kitchen and the Serving Room of this grand building.... Read more

IGPOTY returns once again to Germany to one of its beautiful castles - Schloss Dyck for an exhibition of select photographs from competition 12. Built on four islands in the 17th century, the castle complex lies at the heart of the spacious park. This park was created at the will of Prince Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck by the Scottish landscape gardener Thomas Blaikie in the style of the English landscape garden in the 19th century. As Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Design, Schloss Dyck today has much to offer to families and visitors interested in culture as well as garden lovers and experts. Apart from the historic park and gardens, the entire grounds of 70 ha showcase a wealth of new gardens reaching from modern landscape architecture over themed gardens and examples of home gardens and an adventure play area....
