I adore beauty & love taking photos of what catch my eyes whenever opportunities arise - for my own records & enjoyment, photo-storytelling and for my continual learning as a photographer. My photos have thankfully won numerous awards in prestigious international photo competitions including that of International Garden Photographer Of The Year (“IGPOTY”), The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (“Kew Gardens”)(“KEW”) and The Royal Horticultural Society (“RHS”).My photos have thankfully appeared in numerous respectable publications including that of Kew Gardens, RHS, Green Places Journal, Southwark Council, Southwark News and in Sutton Council’s Reusable Annual Gardening Calendar issued to every household. Two of my favourite nature photos have been exclusively chosen for the ‘2020 Christmas Tweets’ of the prestigious King’s Health Partners (“KHP”) - the world-famous London-based life science & education centre that includes King’s College University, Guy’s Hospital, St. Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital and South London & Maudsley Hospital - to accompany my heart-felt ‘Patient’s Thank You Messages’ to KHP’s 30,000 students and 40,000 staff to provide the timely morale booster as the courageous, dedicated and hard-working ‘NHS Heroes’ started to prepare for the first winter - the traditionally busiest time of the year - as well as the darkest & most worrying period during the ‘COVID-19 Pandemic London Lock-Down’ - giving their all to help save lives.   My photo titled ‘Labour of Love’ - that captured a dedicated & hard-working KEW horticulturist tending to plants in my favourite historic glasshouse - Waterlily House at Kew Gardens - was thankfully winner of The RHS  Photographic Competition 2022 - Indoor Gardening Category - that was in the public exhibition at the prestigious ‘RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show’ at The London Saatchi Gallery during the month of April 2022 before embarking on the nationwide roadshow at various RHS Gardens around the UK.      My photo titled ‘Victoria Boliviana’ - taken in KEW Waterlily House of a beautiful blossom of the third species of Giant Waterlily only officially announced by KEW to the world on 4 July 2022 has thankfully won ‘Second Place’ of The International Garden Photographer of The Year Competition (“IGPOTY”) Number 16 - ‘Captured At Kew Category’ - that reportedly had 22,000 entrants & was at the IGPOTY Number 16 Public Launch Exhibition at KEW in the month of February 2023 before going on public exhibitions at other places starting with the prestigious & world-famous Cambridge University.27 of my nature photos were shortlisted as ‘Stand-Out Photos’ - including two ‘Winning Photos’ - in Kew Gardens’ international public photo contests that took place regularly between 2010 to 2014 and they remain on public display in ‘KEW on Flickr’ Stand-Out Photos Online Galleries. Some say that it is important “To Make Time To Smell The Flowers”.  My photos were my earnest humble attempts to capture some of the many fleeting beauties that I had the good fortune to encounter.  If my photos can bring you joy too, I will be delighted.KamKam Hong LeungKew Gardens Member, Published Writer & Multi-Award Winning Published PhotographerEmail Address:  kamhongleung@outlook.comKew Images Project Website:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/khl_kew_01/albums/(Profile Updated @ 20 October 2023)
