These huntsman spiders look big and scary but don’t harm anyone. He was trying to merge into the bark of the fig on which he sat but rose up when the lens got in his face. My grandson saw it when he climbed into the tree house which is suspended in this Ficus benjamina. He was very excited and asked me to photograph it. I planted the tree, built the tree house and record all its passengers - kids, spiders, bugs, birds and koala so far.
