Pictured in the distance is Uluru (Ayers Rock), which is in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Seeing rain falling in the middle of the hot Australian outback was an extremely rare event, now with climate change, it is occurring regularly and the sandy desert is becoming heavily vegetated.
