Description
Protector of land and nursery of the sea, mangroves grow in tropical and subtropical areas with low oxygen soil and slow-moving waters that allow sediment to accumulate. Here the beams of light spread around the tree roots highlighting their shapes in a surreal way. I tried to compose the scene so it looked as if the two roots in the front were standing guard.
