My name is Terry Morgan and I enjoy taking photographs.A passion for photography and a desire to live in the Cotswolds fuelled a change in both career and location. The themes for my photographs are often images collected during trips overseas, but whether they are taken in the UK or abroad, and whether they are of the landscapes or the people, the intention has been to capture the prevailing atmosphere.My first website “tjmshots” was established in 2001 when I semi-retired and with a view of turning a hobby into a fee earning venture. The intention was, and remains, to market photographs of people and places taken in numerous locations we have been lucky enough to visit around the world.A desire to take, exhibit and ideally sell photographs fuelled a shift from a background in Civil Engineering and Transportation Planning. That desire and an experience-driven technical competence in photography together with proficiency in the use of Photoshop software have enabled me to undertake a number of commissions, sell some quality prints and gain recognition in the world of photography.I set up www.terrymorganphotography.com to showcase more quality images and to help further develop photographic services.A significant number of photographic commissions have derived from my work with web site design specialists. The commissions are predominately for business establishments such as restaurants, pubs., holiday cottages, hotels, B&B’s and guest houses. In this context, my photographs provide an insight into the style and features of an establishment. As such my photos have enhanced websites and promotional material by providing potential customers and clients with images intended to inform, aid comparison and assist in making the right choice. 

As a member of the Royal Photographic Society I have been fortunate enough to have had the image “Italian Streetlife” featured in the RPS Members Exhibition in 2009/10. My photograph “Trio of Damsels” was commended and a finalist in the Insects Beauties category of the International Garden Photographer of the Year in 2010.I have published various photobooks, including “Images of Italy” and “More Images of Italy ~ Eye catching people and interesting places” that contain a number of images from one of our favourite places, Tuscany. More recently, my wife and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with a trip to South Africa. As part of the trip we stayed at Kariega Lodge Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape; a simply fabulous place for anyone with a camera. Another photobook was the inevitable result.
