About John Mather
Photography has long been an interest, starting with a Kodak Instamatic, and moving on to an Olympus OM-1 system. I ran the photographic club at my university for a few years, building the darkroom capability and introducing annual competitions. After growing disappointment with the limitations of film, my enthusiasm was re-energised by the increasing capability of digital cameras and processing software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. I recently joined the Beacon Camera Club in Great Malvern, and invested in an Olympus OMD-EM5 mkII and a range of Olympus and Panasonic lenses. I'm attracted to garden and landscape subjects, and enjoy using Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz AI and Nik Collection software to process my images.
