Late afternoon sunshine was illuminating the leaves of a Canna plant in my garden, bringing out a rich spectrum of intense colour. I noticed the shadows cast onto the leaves by a nearby grass, and thought that it would make an interesting image (especially after intensifying the colour saturation in post-processing). Adding a flipped-mirror effect gives an additional element of abstraction and an end result that is intriguingly reminiscent of a humanoid form.
