About Gerri Jones

I live in the Western New York area of Buffalo, and feel I am lucky to experience four seasons of beauty. I enjoy all genres of photography and like to experiment with different styles and techniques. I feel strongly that experimentation and crossover into each type of photography, can lead you to being more creative in all of your photographic endeavors.  For this reason, I like the challenges that photography presents coupled with my use of creative tools such as Lensbaby and Vintage lenses.  Some of my favorite subjects are nature, floral, still life, and macro in general.  Still life in particular is one genre which, as photographers, we can be responsible for the total creation from set-up to capture.

Gerri has won numerous awards and publications, including IGPOTY competitions, Nature's Best Magazine, regional camera club competitions in western NY, Photographic Society of America (PSA), as well as tourism guides for New York State Erie Canal publications.  Gerri has been an instructor for numerous in-person regional photography conferences located in Chicago, Phoenix, Massachusetts, New York and Wisconsin.  She also regularly gives camera club presentations across the U.S. and abroad, using the Zoom platform.  Gerri is a Lensbaby ambassador, instructor and written numerous blogs for Lensbaby's education section on their website.
