I photographed this ornate Orthetrum coerulescens (male keeled skimmer) dragonfly whilst it rested on a vibrant Echinacea flower in a garden.

Having a garden full of flowers not only attracts many butterfly species but also other insects like dragonflies especially if there is a pond.
