When it formally opened in 2006, the Davies Alpine House (designed by WilkinsonEyre) at RBG Kew was the first new glasshouse to be constructed there for more than 20 years.

Upon visiting the gardens on this bright, winter morning I captured this image of the glasshouse bathed in the early morning sunshine, creating a lovely yellow-red haze.
