A group of us travelled to Western Australia from Canberra and spent two weeks camping in the area specifically to make photographs. This photograph was captured after sunset to avoid harsh shadows. The light of the gloaming gave a deep red glow to the rocks but required the use of a long exposure and therefore a tripod.
