This flower is a Rudbeckia hirta sown by my wife in my garden in Parma. For several years I have photographed flowers and gardens, and this photo is part of a study I did on the beauty that flowers retain throughout their life until the last moment. They show a charm and dignity that few forms of life have. I tried for many days to find a velvet the same colour as the flower.
