Poppies are one of my favourite flowers and I enjoy seeking them out and photographing them. However, they are a very well photographed flower and I am always keen to capture an image that is original. On this morning, I had taken several images but they were all images that had been ‘done before’. In my efforts to produce something unique, I decided to get right down in the undergrowth in order to obtain a different perspective. I go exploring on foot or in the car at weekends. When the weather is bad, I look for locations that might be worth re-visiting. I had spotted these flowers a few days earlier and so returned when the weather had improved.
