Although this flower meadow is barely five minutes from my home I had no idea it was there until I drove past one day and noticed colour emerging. I than made a point of passing by on a regular basis! It has been much admired and appreciated by local residents generating a lot of interest including many posts on the local social media website. It is also a superb habitat for bees and other insect life. I wanted to include an area of road and some traffic to emphasise how well these elements coexist with the flower meadow. I used a small aperture for maximum depth of field and experimented with different shutter speeds to give me the blur I wanted on the moving car. I then took multiple images until I had captured an image with the vehicle in a suitable position for my composition.
