Deadvlei Pan
Plants & PlanetImage details - Deadvlei Pan
Description
I created this panoramic photo of the white clay pan of Deadvlei (dead marsh), in the Namib-Naukluft National Park (a conservation area of almost 50,000 sq km). The scene shows the remaining sun-scorched skeletons of the over 700 year old camel thorn trees, hauntingly frozen in place. I merged 7 separate images shot at 28 mm focal length, to create this panorama.
