The Parc de Schoppenwihr in the French region of Alsace is a spacious park, with wonderful, old, giant trees. On this October day, some of the trees were already starting to change into their autumn colours, and the backlight made the leaves of this venerable oak shine. I was fascinated by how beautifully the sculptural branches reflected the play of light and cast shadows on the lawn.
