‘The Gardens on Spring Creek’ is an 18-acre community botanical garden, owned and managed by the city of Fort Collins in Colorado. Bryan Fischer, curator of the plant collection, is also responsible for this stunning prairie garden, inspired by the nearby Rocky Mountains. Ninety percent of plants are native species requiring minimal watering, and no fertilising. The pink grass in the foreground is Muhlenbergia reverchonii Undaunted – a plant introduced by local garden designer Lauren Springer.
