Description
The green-veined white is a remarkably early species of butterfly which takes flight from the start of April. With a bit of luck, it’s possible to photograph this butterfly in combination with hoar frost, and that’s exactly what I managed to achieve.
Amazingly, they are able to survive this frost and after about an hour the sunlight sufficiently thaws them out, allowing them to fly away.
