On the hills of Sanremo, in Liguria, lives a plant breeder who through careful research and experimentation, creates particular and surprising rose cultivars. From amongst these, I chose to photograph a rose named ‘Scream’ – which is aptly named as that is the reaction it produces upon seeing it.

This shot is a synthesis of the different moments of flowering of the rose, from the bud to the fully open flowers, with a succession of colour tones. In the image I have inserted a light texture to create a soft and natural, almost romantic atmosphere.
