April is a special time in gardens, when everything is fresh and newly minted. The cornus, the blossom on the trained fruit tree and the crimson leaves on the rose bushes all signal the beginning of the growing season. I was inspired by the balance of shapes in the garden, which provided the perfect accompaniment to the breaking dawn and beautiful pearlescent light.
