It was a cold, November morning in the Italian Garden at Trentham (which was revived by landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith) and a hard frost had hit coating; conifer, grass and perennial alike. In the distance stands Perseus, at the moment he has slain Medusa, holding her head aloft.
