About Tony North
I am an avid macro photographer, especially of insects like butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies, as well as flowers and fungi. I work handheld in the field with a Nikon D500, a Nikon 105mm lens and a 1.4X teleconverter for a little extra magnification. I am a member of South Manchester Camera club as well as Butterfly Conservation. My goal is to create beautiful works of art which represent the natural world at its best.
I teach primary school workshops on ancient history and science topics, including evolution and fossils. My academic background includes Masters degrees in Education and Psychology. With regard to photography, I have achieved the BPE4 award by entering UK salons, and hold the DPAGB award for photography.
