About Tanya Parris

Hello From the Mitten ( as we call Michigan, in the United States),A little bit about me and my style. I shoot with a cannon 80D and man do I love her. Surprisingly I only have 3 lenses at this time : cannon 1.8/f 50mm, sigma 3.5/f 10-20mm , and a cannon 18-55mm lens. My style as a photographer is to bring the whimsical out in what already exists. I strive to create the piece I envision within the camera, meaning that I am someone who creates an image one time. I really enjoy going for a soft painted effect on my photos, that hopefully leaves the viewer wondering if it was a painting or a photograph. Yet, are still able to tell that it is a photograph. Because to me the purpose of photography is to capture the world through photographs. If I wanted a painting I would purchase a painting or an illustration. I am down to earth, and enjoy walking barefoot on the grass every moment I have. Doing so with my camera makes it even better.  I entered this competition as an opportunity to show that great photography doesn't have to complex, that breath taking can be simple.
