In 1977, I graduated with BFA in Crafts from Virginia Commonwealth University where I also studied art history and the history  of painting. After graduation, I worked with black and white photography using my Nikkormat. Later, I was able to set up a ceramic studio and designed porcelain for about 12 years. I then did a few years as a custom fine jewelry designer. I finally returned to photography using an iPhone initially and then moving on to a Canon EOS R. My main interest is composite work, but recently have been concentrating on plant life and landscape. I do my best to bring some of the sensibilities and perspectives of painting, both classsical and modern to my photographic work.
