About Linda Dalton Walker

My two favorite subjects to photograph are florals and birds. I travel to many wetlands and floral gardens to capture the subjects in their environments. As I photograph these incredible species I try to envision a variety of angles and compositions in which to frame them. At home I freeze flowers and botanical items in nature to again frame them in a completely different environment. I use a Nikon D3400 camera with the Nikkor 85mm macro lens for most of my floral pieces.

I am a member of the Wasatch Camera Club, and was just awarded the photographer of the year for 2019 - 2020. The club has five competitions a year and throughout most of the thematic and open competitions I placed first or second in my division. Because of these placements I have been moved to the advanced division of photographers. Juried into the following group shows:"Trees" Red Butte Garden, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA"Cultures" Sweet Library, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA"Travel While We Can't", Utah Cultural Center, Utah, USA (moved to online during Covid)Photographer for Utah Cultural Center for International Food Fest.
