About Francesca Levy

I am captivated by the beauty of nature and want, through my photography, to amaze others with its beautiful colours, patterns, forms and textures. I am an avid amateur photographer of flowers and trees. I am lucky to live near ancient woods and beautiful meadows although I live in a big city. I also spend a lot of time taking photographs in beautiful public and private gardens. My favourite lens is my Sigma Macro 105mm. I teach primary school children on a part-time basis and spend every spare minute I have doing photography.

I am a primary school teacher and tutor. My academic background includes a Masters degree from the LSE and a PGCE in primary education. I have recently completed a Level 5 Award in supporting learners with dyslexia and other barriers to literacy. Over the years I have done many short photography courses and I like to read about one of my favourite subects to photograph - trees. Books I have enjoyed include The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben and How to Read a Tree by Tristan Gooley. I am hoping to continue to develop my photography with experience and reading, as well as workshops and tutorials with experienced photographers.
