For a long time I've entered local, national, and international competitions with a simple Olympus bridge camera. Recently however, as technology has increased, and my health has deteriorated I have had to switch to using my Samsung Note 10+ smart phone. The main advantage for me is a bigger screen and image stabilization compared to my failing bridge camera. I occasionally switch to pro mode to control shutter speeds, brightness, and focus and the optical lens captures a bokeh effect.I like exploring different compositional shots and getting up close to see the details of a flower or an insect, or look to capture their behaviour in my shot.

I'm a glass and ceramic artist although I often use my own experiences and my own photos as inspiration in my work. A lot of my recent work is to do with the environment, both celebrating what we have, and what we have to lose.
