About Christopher Atkinson

After working for The Thailand Times in the late 1990s, Christopher has since been employed in the UK film industry recording sound as a boom operator. His credits include work for luminaries including Danny Boyle and Werner Herzog. He was the European and North-African boom operator for Christopher Nolan's "Inception", which won The Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing in 2010, and worked on the BAFTA winning "Atonement"  and "The Favourite". Besides his work in film sound, Christopher also practises photography. His work has been exhibited in Graffik and The Atom Rooms on Portobello Road and The Rich Mix Cultural Foundation in Shoreditch, London. He was a finalist in both the 2011 Foto8 Summer Show at the Host Gallery and the 2015 Travel Photographer of the Year.​
