About Charlotte Eberwein

My name is Charlotte Eberwein. I am a 25-year-old photo-artist, born in southern Germany in 1994 and grounded in Berlin since the age of seventeen.I have chosen to give my passion, namely artistic expression, the space in my life it needs to grow freely and thus completed my photography studies at Neue Schule Für Fotografie Berlin in 2018. It is my desire to translate. To make emotional phenomena, desires, questions to which there is no explanation, the unspeakable, instantly visible. All questions about life, to which there are no answers, turn silent, even unimportant, and peace returns when we recognize and perceive beauty in what raises the questions,. We realize that there must be no explanation at all. That it is good just the way it is.  My work is constantly changing and evolving. I mainly photograph the subjects of humans and nature in color, using a self-developed method that helps me to express relevant moments and to gain access to a completely new pictorial language.  My pictures are the result of the confrontation with myself in an intuitive, an artistic way.The arising photographies become metaphors of inner conflicts, processes, emotions and states of being. In a poetic, pictorial way I tell about places within us for which words are not necessarily found. I would like to create an access with my pictures. Access to landscapes in the inner human being. Known old landscapes and completely new ones we have never seen or experienced before.Every person carries these landscapes within him/herself. They are what makes us unique and at the same time what brings us together.By finding images with my artistic work that give voice to what is unspeakable to me, I give the viewer the opportunity to let him/herself fall into them and to recognize oneself in them.
