Fruits by Masumi Shiohara
As an orchardist, I have endeavoured to create an artistic record of fruit that I have grown at its most visually beautiful form prior to being harvested. My artwork is similar to classic botanical drawings in the sense that I seek to depict a precise level of detail whilst at the same time attempt to communicate their aesthetic beauty. Specimens included varieties of: Vitis, Prunus, Pyrus and Malus.
