Description
I captured this group of Betula ermanii (Erman's birch) growing wild along the steeply sloping hillsides around Lake Mashu (a caldera lake) in the Akan-Mashu National Park.
This lake is famous for being one of the clearest in the world and its intensely blue water provided the most stunning backdrop to show the grace and slender form of the white birch trees.
