The Val di Funes came alive in autumn and the whole valley was awash with colour but certain areas do not see any sunlight until the middle of the day. One such place is the small St Johann's Church.

I waited until around midday and had the sun in the ideal position to get long shadows from the side - thereby lighting the church. The final task was to ask to the landowner if I could stand in their field to capture the view, which thankfully they agreed to.
