To prepare the background of this image I placed a small sheet of polarising film on my brightly lit light pad. On top of this I placed a petri dish with a thin layer of ice. The photograph was then captured, processed through Adobe Photoshop and Nik software, then the image of the polarised ice was blended with one of my floral images.
