Bedruthan Steps is a popular location on the north Cornish coast, with spectacular clifftop views of the sea stacks on the beach below. In spring, the clifftop is usually covered with thrift (Armeria maritima) and this year there was a particularly thick carpet of flowers The thrift makes a wonderful foreground for the big vista along the coastline and the light from the clearing shower was fabulous. The thrift was at its peak, so I decided to get in close with a wide angle lens and fill the lower part of the frame with colour.
