I love to visit this particular spot in the springtime where I am surrounded by trees in blossom. I wanted to take a photograph of the chiffchaff, one of the first migrant songbirds to arrive and can be heard singing throughout the day. This photo was taken in a small part of a garden called the Cherry Bowl - a collection of Japanese flowering cherry trees arranged around a circular clearing, a beautiful place to sit and observe the wildlife. I made many visits to the garden hoping to get the perfect shot.
