During the rainy season, in the tropical garden of Xishuangbanna, I find it wonderful to observe the various mosses and lichens growing on the tree trunks, because they often hide some small animals.

During a casual observation, I discovered this gecko – searching for something on the bark of a tree. I maintained a motionless posture. After the gecko felt that there was no danger, it searched the bark more carefully. I gently picked up my camera and took this photo – which combines the visuals of an oil painting and surrealism, giving more understanding of the beauty of nature.
