On one afternoon, at the end of April, I spotted this spider, at rest in the hollow of a piece of bark. The composition and the appearance of this arachnid would suggest it is a threat, however this individual is not (at least to humans), because it lacks venom glands. I used an umbrella to darken the shadows, and a small flashlight to create the spot of light, capturing the shot via remote shutter release.
