Camouflage
Wildlife in the GardenImage details - Camouflage
Description
This photo of a crab spider was taken whilst it hid, upside down, on a flower head of Convallaria majalis (lily-of-the-valley), in my garden, last summer. To camouflage themselves, crab spiders are able to change their colour (within a limited range) to match their chosen flower. I captured this shot while lying prone – I love looking for a photo subject with the right background and light.
