Red Dawn

Description
Every June, in the South Downs National Park, elusive poppy fields become the quest. When you do find a field, it is magic and very rewarding.
To capture them at their best, it often pays to head out for sunrise – this shot involved a 4 am alarm and cycle to a local spot. I was rewarded with this beautiful red river of poppies, sweeping through the valley towards the mist in the distance. The sky was just starting to turn too, as dawn approached. I focus stacked multiple images together, to gain greater clarity of the poppies.
