Description

Fires are frequent where this photo was taken, but the fire-blackened trees photographed here are well-adapted to survive fire. They regenerate by regrowing from epicormic buds and lignotubers after bushfire – as seen in the foreground with these native red bloodwood trees (Corymbia gummifera).
