Chatsworth House has been photographed extensively but probably not from this vantage point. This is a magnificent view because the River Derwent and the parkland designed by Brown sweep the eye up towards the house which is shown off beautifully in the early morning sun.

There is a charming mix of parkland and grazing land which further enhances the rural setting. Brown transformed most of the working farmlands of Chatsworth to gardens in 1760, leaving aside a small section for its original purpose.
