When I saw these two white coneflowers – Echinacea purpurea 'Alba', so entwined in the evening in my garden, I immediately had to reach for my camera. I was fascinated by the closeness and intimacy that two simple flower heads can share.

To me, they looked like a floral, balletic pas de deux, and I chose an open aperture (and used focus stacking) to make the two soloists stand out from the other flowers in the background.
