I like to experiment with different photographic techniques, here I have experimented with ultraviolet (UV) light. This photo features flowers of a Serruria species, captured at night (in pitch black) using a UV torch to paint with light – a tripod was essential due to the slow shutter speed. I like the different colour effects that the UV light has created, as in normal daylight this flower has delicate pinks and whites.
