The Jardin des Faïenciers is a wonderful site (created by landscape architect Philippe Niez), with carefully designed different garden spaces that merge with the remains of the past and industrial culture into a fascinating cosmos.

When I visited in June, the rambler roses were in full bloom and the former porcelain factory was shrouded in a white cloud of millions of blossoms. I waited until I could capture the moment when the sun set behind the gable and the last evening light flooded out of the ruin, creating its very own magic.
