Heather and MistBreathing Spaces
Image details - Heather and Mist
|Location:||Rockford Common, New Forest, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom|
Rockford Common is an area of open heathland in the New Forest, with far-reaching views. There is a thick carpet of heather here, which usually flowers at the end of August and beginning of September.
The boggy ground below the common means that after a cool night there is often mist in the valley below. It was difficult to resist the combination of intensely-coloured heather in the foreground and layers of mist in the background.
