I was returning from a day on the River Cherwell in Oxfordshire when in the corner of my eye the bright sunlight illuminated a hidden corn field, capturing my attention.

I stood watching the corn move slowly in the breeze, then it stopped; the corn stood still and two beautiful poppies gave all the contrast I needed. I set up my tripod and watched; I stood for half an hour, just waiting and watching for the perfect light conditions.
