I have kept this image quite simple to concentrate the viewers' attention on the wonderful colours, shapes and textures of the cabbage and pears. To mimic the olde-worlde character of a still life canvas, I added a background texture in Adobe Photoshop, which I made from a photograph of the back of one of my old baking trays.
