Description
Some prokaryotes also have hyphae, such as actinomycetes. Hyphae (filamentous structures) extend by apical growth and branch by lateral growth. The spores formed by fungi have different shapes, structures and colours. The patterns they form are fantastic and abstract. In environments not destroyed by human beings, their colony shape and colour are relatively stable. These primitive forms of life are like living specimens, like blooming flowers in their own right.
